The NSW State Parliament in Macquarie Street, Sydney, is where our state’s politicians while away their time trying to score points against each other.
The NSW State Parliament is divided into two Houses, an Upper House (called the Legislative Council) and a Lower House (called the Legislative Assembly).
It is open to the public between 9 am and 5 pm every weekday.
Public access to the Chambers is restricted to the Visitors’ Galleries of NSW State Parliament when the Houses are in session. On these days you should book in advance for Question Time in the Legislative Assembly.
On non-sitting days, when the Chambers of NSW State Parliament are not being used, you may visit inside both Chambers.
Group visits must be booked. There is no need to book for individual visits to the NSW State Parliament.
