The Star City Casino and Hotel in Pyrmont, Sydney.
Star City is a large entertainment and residential complex that is located just minutes away from Prymont Bridge and Darling Harbour.
The complex includes the very modern Star City Casino, with its tall wide stairway out the front, water fountains and a dazzling Volcano themed entrance. There is an excellent and cheap restaurant buffet inside the casino, above the gaming floor.
For entertainment, there are two theatres next to the casino, the large and modern Star City Hotel above it and the Star City Apartments close by.
The complex at Star City even has its own shopping mall.
Bus number 888 (those numbers chosen because number 8 is believed by the Chinese to be lucky) takes punters to Star City; as do the Sydney Monorail and Metrail (tram) lines. Both have stops there, and there is also a public taxi rank outside.
