Dawes Point, Sydney
Under the Harbour
BridgeDawes Point is right
below the southern pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Situated near to the stylish Park Hyatt hotel, Dawes Point is
conveniently placed close to Circular Quay and The Rocks.
If you're fit enough to climb 270 steps, you can climb up the
inside of the south eastern pylon of the Harbour Bridge. Here
you can walk out onto a hidden viewing platform and take
wonderful photos of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour.
Dawes Point has such a wonderful view of Sydney Harbour and the
Sydney Harbour Bridge, that it is a favourite spot for wedding
photographers to do their formal group photos. The same goes
for the walkway in fron of the nearby wharves.
Dawes Point Park is also used by wedding celebrants, and is
filled to capacity every New Years Eve by revellers who wait
all day for the extravagant fireworks displays.
