Motor homes in Australia are the perfect answer to your travel and accomodation needs if you want to tour the country and see some of the great Australian Outback.

There is a large selection of dealers renting motor homes in Australia, and they'll be able to find you a camper hire to suit your budget, where you plan to go and the number of people in your group.

Motor homes in Australia range from small conversion jobs like Toyota Hi Ace vans to great big mobile mansions like Winnebago trailers. All are available for campervan hire.

In between, there'll be units like Toyota "Troop Carrier" large 4-wheel-drive vehicles, perfect for the real outback, through small trucks with a caravan on the chassis. There are even Volkswagen Kombi vans or VW Transporter conversions for RV hire.

The smaller vehicles will use a "pop top" roof to give you standing room. And all will be fitted with seats and a table that become beds. They will also have a gas/electric refigerator of some kind and a 2-burner gas stove and grill or maybe a gas oven. There'll be storage space for clothes and bedding, plus some kitchen cupboard space for canned food, your plates and cutlery, and even a small kitchen sink.

And lastly, remember that some camper hire companies will let their motor homes in Australia be picked up in one capital city and dropped off in another. This gives you the option of flying back home or continuing to tour Australia by another means.

There is also a small trade in people being paid to drive those RVs back to base sometimes. Ask a few questions... you never know what deals can be made until you give it a go.
