Sydney Aquarium
Walk Under Sharks and
Giant Manta RaysLocated at the city side of
Darling Harbour, Sydney, the Sydney Aquarium is best
reached by foot from Market Street or King Street.
See gigantic sharks and manta rays swim above your head as you
walk in armored plastic tunnels underneath them.
At Sydney Aquarium, you can view the fish and
habitat of the Great Barrier Reef up close, before you
head north for Queensland to experience the real
thing.
A Seal Sanctuary with two million liters of water from
Sydney harbour is home to an Australian sea lion and Australian
and New Zealand seal species. More underwater tunnels allow you
to walk under the seals too.
There are penguins, and even crocodiles you view up close at
Sydney Aquarium.
Most mornings there's a seal feeding at 9:00 am, and an
afternoon feed time at 3:00 pm for the other creatures.
Different animals are fed on different days, so check with the
Sydney Aquarium directly on +61 2 8251 7800.
