Learn about Sydney Australia

Sydney has so many facets to it that it captures the hearts of visitors and residents alike. Most Australians look to Sydney with pride as our de-facto national capital. I call it de-facto because, officially, Canberra if the country's capital. Sydney is only the capital of the state of New South Wales. But, wait for it, Canberra itself and the Australian Capital Territory (A.C.T.) that surrounds it, is slap bang in the middle of New South Wales state. The A.C.T. and Canberra are located south of Sydney and north of state of Victoria, whose capital city, Melbourne, has always been the main rival with Sydney for the status of Australia's number one city for business and leisure.
